Messin’ Abou (originally titled Pissin’ Abou) is a fresh, playful take on your typical ‘bench’ sculpture. Within Broomhill’s tranquil sculpture garden, a pair of ebullient figures are causing chaos; disrupting the peace with their lively, care-free mischievousness. Basically just pissin’ abou! This overall design features two abstract forms immersed in an animated encounter with one of the garden’s benches; the figures embodying that immature, inner child we all possess – whether it be when we are with a close friend, sibling (other family member) or partner. This idea emphasises enjoyment and humour; a sentiment anyone can relate to in a positive way.
